The Ministry of Justice just opened the public consultation about the national anticorruption strategy. This initiative follows Principle 10 of the Global Compact Network, concerning the anticorruption fight in public and private organizations.

Proposals and comments can be sent to the ministry’s address until July 29, 2016: Str. Apolodor nr. 17, sector 5, Bucharest or at the email address sna@just.ro.

In the supporting document, the ministry says that, during the 2012-2015 strategy, 17 central institutions and 66 entities from the local public administration have been audited and thus the strategic paper fully proved its usefulness.

The main objective of the 2016-2020 strategy is to promote integrity, through the rigorous application of the juridical and institutional framework, in order to prevent corruption in Romania. The document is multidisciplinary and is addressed to all the public institutions embodying the executive, legislative and juridical powers, to local public authorities, to businesses and civil society.
